guess what?!?!!

oh gosh, you'll never guess. i mean, how would you know??

this THURSDAY is our 5th ANNIVERSARY

("our" being mine and my man-half, of course.)

it's the first big one, you know what i mean!?!

and saturday, last saturday, like may 1st saturday

when i walked in the door from a shoot

case (my man-half) said,

"you want your present now???"

cause, you see, we're really not good at the whole

S U R P R I S E !!

thing.

(it's a miracle that we wait 'til the 25th for Christmas.)

so i said no.

he said yes.

i said maybe.

he said yes.

and next thing i knew i was holding a new camera!

complete shocker. i was just hoping for a watch.

hi, i'm back.

so, guess what.

I CAN WALK!!!!

i guess i should have mentioned...

i just assume that people that follow my fotos follow my regular blog as well.

well, we all know where assuming gets us... right?

yada yada, right before the new year i fractured my lateral malleolus (read: ankle) and tore a bunch of stuff, tendons, ligaments, etc. that are necessary for walking.

who'd have thunk?

so, the fotographing is on hold for a bit. i did a session in early feb. and it was... let's just say difficult. i'm a physical type of fotographer, running around, climbing trees. crawling on the grounds, and the broken footed walking-boot situation just doesn't work.

so . . .

i'll be back a.s.a.p.

so you think your family's cute...

and so does everyone else you're related to.

and guess what... Christmas is less than 40 days away. and guess what else... we're all poor.

sometimes the best gifts are the little treasures; the homemade ornaments, the hand sewn stocking, or in this case, the family foto tucked in the crease of a well-worded Christmas card...
